Meet Weston Artspace

Creativity, community, and collaboration in Weston-super-Mare.

Weston Artspace is a volunteer-led arts organisation that brings people together through creativity. We support artists and the wider community to explore ideas, develop skills, and collaborate - welcoming everyone, from experienced practitioners to those discovering the arts for the first time. Our aim is simple: to make art accessible to all and to nurture creativity as a source of connection and wellbeing.

Founded in 2019 by the arts organisation Terrestrial, Weston Artspace began life in an empty High Street shop, transformed into a thriving community arts studio thanks to support from North Somerset Council. In 2020, a dedicated team of volunteers took the reins, and the project became a Community Interest Company. Since then, we’ve delivered creative projects across Weston, building a strong, inclusive network of artists, makers, and community groups.

Now entering an exciting new chapter at the Old Town Quarry, Weston Artspace continues to grow. Supported by Weston Town Council, Culture West Arts Membership, the West of England Combined Authority (WECA), Arts Council England, and Bath Spa University, we’re helping to shape the Quarry as a welcoming cultural destination - a place where creativity, nature, and community meet.

Whether you’re an artist, a supporter of the arts, or simply curious about getting involved, you’re warmly invited to join us. There are many ways to take part - through creative workshops, volunteering, collaborations, or by supporting local arts activity. Be part of a growing community that celebrates imagination, collaboration, and the joy of arts and creative practice.
